d'herbe. La poésie américaine moderne est née.
Paris, 5 juillet 2005 : 37 poètes américains + 1 poète
britannique contemporains rassemblent dans les pages d'un livre commun leurs
propres feuilles, célébrant à leur façon les 150 ans du recueil fondateur. à
whitman et ces poètes se joignent des traducteurs français et deux éditeurs,
l'un nantais, l'autre new-yorkais, pour jeter un pont entre deux continents,
deux langues, deux cultures, deux rapports aux mots et au monde.

5, 2005: 37 american poets + 1 british poet gather their own leaves in the
pages of this book to celebrate the 150th year of whitman's groundbreaking
collection of poems. joined by french translators and two publishers, one based
in new york and the other in nantes, they provide the "latest
connections" whitman hoped for, the connections and crossings between two continents,
between two languages and cultures, between two relationships to the wor(l)d.
